Explore Firostefani, a beautiful and quiet suburb of Fira, before heading up to the picturesque village of Oia. Both towns offer great views to take in, plenty of shops to explore in the small, meandering streets and countless amazing photo spots.
If you have but a few hours in Santorini, this is an itinerary that offers a fullfilling impression of the island. Start off in Oia, the most famous, visited and picturesque settlement of Santorini.
Continue to Firostefani, a tiny suburb of Fira, that combines breathtaking views, blue domed churches and less crowds than the capital. If you feel like exploring a bit, you have the option to do the 15 minute walk along the caldera to Fira from where you will be picked up again to continue your trip.
Visit Pyrgos, one of the more traditional villages of the island. Walk among the narrow streets, explore all the hidden shops, cafes and churches while you make your way to the top of Santorini's most well preserved Venetian Castle.
End your Santorini experience at the Red Beach, a unique to the world formation with steep red cliffs and clear blue waters
Start this tour in Pyrgos, one of the more traditional and less touristic villages of Santorini, set high up on the side of Mount Prophitis Ilias. At the top of the mountain you can find the monastery and the highest view point on the island.
Continue the trip to Megalochori, a settlement located to the southwest of the island, surrounded by vineyards. As landmarks it offers the traditional stone paved square in the center of the village, blue domed church, restored mansions that date as far back as the 17th century. On the west edge, built on the caldera cliff, the chapel of St. Nicholas offers unforgettable views.
Photo stop at the Red Beach, where you can take in Santorini's amazing volcanic landscape, the dramatic cliffs, clear waters and red sand.
End your trip at the Akrotiri Lighthouse on the south-western tip of the island, looking out over the Caldera and the Aegean Sea – a wonderful spot for pictures.
Visit Imerovigli where, as many travelers argue, one can find the best views on the island, that surpass even the ones from Oia. Traditional and well preserved to the fullest,Imerovigli is ideal for visitors who wish to experience the unique beauty of Santorini, while avoiding the large crowds.
Continue to Pyrgos, where you will reach the highest point of the island, the monastery on top of Mount Prophet Ilias, enjoy the views from its courtyard, try traditional wine and admire ecclesiastic art.
In Megalochori you will have the chance to visit the “heart of Santorini”, favourite photo spot amongst the locals and take in the views of the caldera from the porch of St. Nicholas, a small church built right into the cliff
A visit to Vlychada at the end of the tour will allow you to walk the small fishing port, stop for fresh seafood at a local restaurant and spend some time on one of Santorini's quiter and most beautiful beaches.
